This is a critical time for Independent Living Centers (ILCs) in Wisconsin. Currently, there are three key budget motions proposed by Representative Rodriguez, Senator Cabral-Guevara, and Senator Jacque that would fully fund ILCs across the state. These motions will be discussed in caucus, and if they gain support from caucus members, they have a strong chance of being included in the final budget put forth by the Joint Finance Committee. Your Action is Needed! This is the final opportunity to contact state legislators in both the State Senate and State Assembly, and find out if they support increased funding for Wisconsin's ILCs. Here's how you can help: 1. Identify Your Legislators: Visit the legislative map and enter your address at the top to find out who represents you. 2. Contact Your Legislators and Do Two Things: o Introduce yourself as a constituent and emphasize the importance of this issue to you. o Ask them if they support the proposed budget motions to increase funding for "Grants to Independent Living Centers" by $2,626,400 per year. 3.
