Home Modifications and Related Equipment: Increasing funding and access for home modifications; providing for the ability to have homes modified with ramps, accessible room(s), and/or equipment like stair lifts and shower benches.
Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment: Increased funding for, and access to, equipment for overcoming barriers to education, employment, recreation, and activities of daily living. This includes vehicle modifications, adaptive telephones, apps for computers and tablets, cooking equipment, etc.
Personal Care and Assistance Services: Increasing access to adequate levels of personal care services so individuals may remain in their own homes, and ensuring that care can be provided by whomever an individual may choose.
Disability Rights Laws Compliance and Enforcement: Ensuring the government protects disability rights; that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and other legislation that protects the rights of persons with disabilities are abided by and enforced.
Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services: Increasing the availability of affordable, adequate, and timely access to mental health and/or substance abuse services.
Disability Benefits and Benefits Counseling: Access, advocacy, and support to obtain public benefits. Ensuring legislators and bureaucrats do not make changes which will reduce eligibility or erect barriers to these programs.
Transportation: Ensuring persons with disabilities have access to affordable and accessible transportation for all needs, including medical and personal needs, and activities such as worship and social functions. Extending flexible options for transportation to people in rural areas.
Employment: Providing person with disabilities access to employment and employment services, supporting employment opportunities in the community, and ensuring that employers do not discriminate and provide reasonable accommodations as requested.
Education: Providing students with disabilities equal, accessible, and quality education, and providing the advocacy and support necessary to meet their academic and post-secondary goals.
Housing: Increasing the availability of affordable, accessible, safe, and integrated housing.
Health Care and Long Term Care: Ensuring persons with disabilities have the access, advocacy and support to obtain affordable and comprehensive health care, and ensuring that persons with disabilities have access to, and advocacy and support for long-term care services.
Social and Recreational Activities: Increasing the availability of accessible social and recreational activities, and ensuring persons with disabilities have the access, support and advocacy to participate in any activity offered in their community.
